Following 3 years of R&D, Proof of Concept, and Commercialisation activities, EMS was proud to launch our new Basix:Builder® software development tools at the opening of our annual EMS User Group Conference in Canberra on 7th October 2007. This innovative product revolutionises software development and maintenance activities, and significantly reduces the cost and risk of software development projects. Slow, time consuming IT projects with high levels of risk and expertise are now a thing of the past with Basix:Builder®. Most of the design and development work can be achieved without system architects, programmers or other critical skills, and these solutions can be created in 10% of the time it would take using traditional source code based development methodologies. The Proof of Concept and Commercialisation activities for Basix™ were funded by EMS with assistance from AusIndustry under a Commercial Ready Grant. This Federal Government grant allowed EMS to expedite the delivery of this unique and innovative software into the market, and the results achieved with the release of these two new EMS products is remarkable. Our Basix™ products set the scene for a complete change in the way business software is developed and deployed, and puts the power of business solution creation back into the hands of in-house IT staff, business analysts and IT consultants.
