Project Overview:
To deliver a Planning and Asset system as a central repository of data for Electricity Transmission system planning purposes and also to meet/comply with the regulatory requirements with respect to asset data information storage and retention.

VENCorp plays a pivotal role in the delivery of a secure supply of electricity and gas for all Victorians. VENCorp is the major State Government owned entity within Victoria's privatised energy sector and reports to the Minister directly responsible for the energy industry. It was established on December 11, 1997 and is a central component of Victoria's gas and electricity industries. The organisation is funded by the industry on a cost recovery basis and plays an important part in delivering the benefits of energy industry reform.

VENCorp's primary functions include:

• Electricity and gas planning, and development,
• Managing electricity and gas emergencies.
• Operating of the Principal Gas Transmission (PTS) system,
• Developing and managing of Victoria's wholesale gas market, and 
• Facilitating gas Full Retail Contestability (FRC) in Victoria
