Basix: Housing Manager – Development Roadmap Update
April Progress Report
In our transition toward a fully cloud-based SaaS solution, we are now commencing on Q2 deliverables, where our focus is to accelerate the use of the web server to provide external and mobile users access to key capabilities. These include:
- Web Tenant portal
- Web Property Manager portal (stage 1)
User-group Workshops
This month, we will be organising a client user group to commence discussions on the above items and our progress more generally. We intend to send invitations for this in the next few days.
Our Direction: From On-Premises to Full SaaS
Beginning Q1 2026, our development roadmap is structured into quarterly phases that progressively transition Housing Manager from its current on-premises deployment model to a secure, scalable SaaS platform.

New Feature Summary – Email Payslips directly from Housing Manager
You can now email payslips directly from Housing Manager.

Employee payslips can now be automatically emailed to employees upon completion of a pay batch. A new setting has been added to Control Details ‘Email Payslips’. If ticked, when the Pay Batch is Completed the employees in the pay batch will be emailed their payslips. Payslips can be emailed again if required, emailed for individual or multiple employees for past pay batches and special pay batches. Payslips are emailed to employees Work Email address.
New Feature Summary – Queensland Community Housing Rent Calculator integration
The Rent Calculator feature allows users to select one or more tenancy agreements and automatically calculate updated rent values based on tenant and income data, using the “Queensland Community Housing Rent Calculator” service. Agreement data is validated before submission, then valid records are processed in batches, and new “In Progress” rent reviews are created and populated with calculated rent amounts and related details.
The feature also assigns a shared Calculation ID to each batch, enabling users to track, review, and manage all agreements processed together.
Note that the rent calculator integration is a paid add-on and we expect to offer more rent calculator integrations in the future.

New Feature Summary – Full text consolidated search capability
With the new Web server in place, you can now take advantage of a consolidated search of text contained within your uploaded documents and long-text fields in the Housing Manager database.
This provides a simple way to scan your entire knowledge base for addresses, client names or other details.
New Feature Summary – Payday Super
Payday Super has passed the ATO checks! Originally planned for Q2, this feature was brought forward to give clients plenty of time to prepare for legislated superannuation changes.
New Feature Summary – API endpoints
Housing Manager now provides a range of API endpoints to facilitate integrations with 3rd party software. The API endpoints are available via the Web server and include the following:
- Building Units
- Contact Details
- Contact Logs
- Ledgers
- Ledger Transactions
- Tenancy Agreements
- Tenancy Applications
